Design Council

The individuals appointed to the Ridgefield design committee are herewith recognized as a municipal consulting recourse available to the Ridgefield Board of Selectmen, and to the other Town boards, commissions, committees and officials. It shall be available to aid in the consideration and implementation of:

1. The preservation and augmentation of the beauty of Ridgefield, and the preservation and protection of its historic buildings, scenic vista's, landmark properties and cultural recourses.

2. The advancement of he good architecture and design on new public buildings, public spaces and streets.

 3. Within budgetary limits, to provide public information and increase public awareness of the economic and social benefit of preserving our scenic and historic amenities.

 4. Coordination of Town boards, commissions, etc. in the dissemination of information for the purpose of improving the planning process.
